Maybe he was being gutsy, but that's what gave him this thrills right? Twitching his tail he kneaded the moss under his paws, gazing out over the plains. A patrol was bound to come by soon. Maybe he could catch one cat by it's self, or at least carry his message to Windclan's leader. He was visible against the treeline, a hulking, composed grey mass on the border. The sun flitered down from the trees, but sorched over the plains. He snorted in digust. How could Windclan cats live like that? So exposed. So open for attack. Pink tongue flickered out to swipe his lips. Very exposed. Nicely, one might say. He perched and waited, hoping someone would pop up.

| Hatchwhisker | Windclan - Warrior - Tom - 12moons | The newly made warrior stalked through the plains. His darker stripes camouflaging his frame from prey. One white paw after another, he stalked a rabbit toward the bordering treeline. So enthralled in his hunting he paid no mind to the strange cat scent especially since he was only expecting the possible fox and the fact that it was safe passage to mothermouth. The rabbit noticed him before he could pounce and he chased into the trees along the boarder. He stopped chasing the rabbit once he ran into some thorns. He let out a disgusted growl as he began to untangle himself.

Duskstar followed the form of the fluffy tom as he followed a rabbit into the treeline. A snarl graced his ears as the tom tried to untangle himself from some thorns. The dusky tom padded foward and paused, crouching, near where the tom was pulling himself from the brush. "You know, most cats don't ignore a stranger on their borders. You must be young." The leader's tail twitched, watching the tabby. He was definately young, formitable, but not as tall or bulky as Duskstar. Rolling his shoulders, he pressed his paws into the ground, cool, calculating amber eyes watching, waiting, for the best moment to pounce.

| Hatchwhisker | Windclan - Warrior - Tom - 12moons | He paused his wriggling in the brush. "But is it not safe passage to Mothermouth." Hatchwhisker pointed out without hesitation. He sized up the other cat, he was bigger and wasn't stuck in a gorse patch. "I don't want any trouble." He mewed quickly, it was obvious the Thunderclan cat had more experience too. "Are you passing through or what?" Hatchwhisker gruffly growled trying to sound like a bigger threat. Taking a quick glance behind the other tom he noticed he wasn't on Windclan territory anymore.

Duskstar chuckled gruffly, shaking himself and standing, eyeing the other warrior. "Yes of course, except, if I was going to the mothermouth, don't you think I would have gone already?" He padded closer to the tom, inspecting the bush and the best way to untangle him. "You Windclanners never know how to handle the underbrush do you? All open sky and exposer." Reaching out, Duskstar took one hold of the bush in his mouth, pulling one of the offending branches back away from the young warrior, helping to dislodge him from his predictament. Why did he always end up playing nice to win their side? Why didn't he just put his teeth to this kit's throat and force him to come to Duskstar's side. It was a remnant of his sanity, he supposed.

| Hatchwhisker | Windclan - Warrior - Tom - 12moons | He went back to wiggling, "Thanks." Hatchwhisker mewed as he tumbled from the gorse bush. "You can run a lot faster and a lot further out on the plains...you only have to watch out for holes. Plus you don't have the trees between you and Starclan up on the moore." He pointed out. Once he got up he began to search through his pelt, pulling out any tangled in thorns. "So what brings a Thunderclan cat out here if it's not Mothermouth? I mean is there anything I can help you with?" Meowing happily, he looked up at the other tom.

Duskstar walked around the tom, inspecting him, and then sniffing the gorse. "I guess so, though I prefer complete darkness to sleep in." He muttered, striding out of the forest a few paces, onto the plains. "Actually, I was looking for you." He turned and grinned, purring as he strode back to the tom. "Well, somecat like you." His tail whipped impatiently, and, glance around, he nodded to a shadey spot, just on the border. "Would you join me? I'd like to have a chat with you." He padded into the soft shaded grass, sititng back on his haunches and scenting. Nothing. Good. He didn't need a Windclan patrol to interupt him. Or one of his own, for that matter. Turning back to the tom, he smiled invitingly. "I'm Duskpelt. Who are you?" A lie, yes, but a neccisary one.

| Hatchwhisker | Windclan - Warrior - Tom - 12moons | He watched the other tom cautiously as he was being circled, granted he did owe him a bit for helping him out of the gorse. "Granted it might be harder to sleep during the Gathering but usually that's held after it rises anyway." He watched as the tom seemed to pace before finally deciding on a spot. "It couldn't hurt if we talked." He meowed just hoping no patrols passed by. He fallowed the Thunderclan cat to the patch of grass. "I'm Hatchwhisker" He mewed with a small smile to the other 'warrior'. "Now what can I help with?" | Bio |

Duskstar was silent for a long moment, drinking in the sights of the moor. His pelt itched. He wanted to take it, grit his teeth and take Windclan on his own. But he needed the clan. And he needed this Windclan kitten-warrior for his plan. Sometimes the plan annoyed him, he thought with a twitch of his tail, it was taking too long. He looked at Hatchwhisker and smiled. "Have you ever thought about how much easier our lives could be?" He mused quietly, nodding toward the sky, where some thrushes flew overhead. "See how free they are? We could be free like that don't you think?" He looked down into the grass, sinking his blackened claws into the dirt and pulling it up. "There doesn't need to be conflict, you know? Boundries are nothing when it comes to the heart, right? Shouldn't we all have the right to live and love?" He knew his words were cryptic, but he could not speak his own mind, so full of hatred and the wanton need to consume and destroy and conquer. He wanted the forest and the river and the marsh and the moors, all to his own. They would be his, if he had to take them by forse. But maybe this warrior, this Hatchwhisker, could plant the seed of doubt he so desperately needed, the seed of doubt that would turn the moor cats against one another and break the warrior code from beneath them. This seed that could lead them to his guidance. Maybe, just maybe, this cat was the key.

| Hatchwhisker | Windclan - Warrior - Tom - 12moons | He waited to hear what 'Duskpelt' had wanted. It had to be admitted at times he could be totally mouse brained. As 'Duskpelt' talked, he watched the thrush fly over head. "Yea." He replied as they flew from view. "No boundries, no conflicts." His fluffy tail swished happily at the thought. "Then no needless bloodshed." Hatchwhisker seemed to get more and more excited as 'Duskpelt' went on. "Did Starclan come to you?" He asked, his paws kneading the ground. "If so, your leader must of sent you to tell our leader!" He meowed.

Duskstar's tail swished happily. Hatchwhisker was getting it, yes good. The big tom rolled his shoulders and sighed. "Yes, Starclan did come to me. They told me the clans could live in harmony, and it was my job to give this message to them. However my leader has been difficult, and other cats have not taken what I have to say as truth. Do you believe me, Hatchwhisker?" He blinked innocently at the tabby, big amber orbs gleaming with false sorrow and hope. "Will you take the message I have to your clan? I cannot cross the border. It would mean punishment in my clan." His head and shoulders drooped, and he had an unmistakable 'pout' on his face, twitching his ears at the Windclanner to see what he would do next.

| Hatchwhisker | Windclan - Warrior - Tom - 12moons | "That's not right!" He hissed angrily. "If anyone should have faith in Starclan it should be the leader. Starclan gave them their nine lives for a reason." He huffed, as his claws came out shredding some of the soft ground. "Mouse brained." He hissed aiming it at the supposed Thunderclan leader. He looked up, they had been talking for a good chunk of time. "You might want to head back before you get caught." He mewed in realization. "And don't worry, I'll pass the word onto Windclan." He mewed with a smile.

Duskstar smiled at the young cat's admissions about Thunderclan's 'leader'. It was yet unknown to many cats that he was leader, and he was not known by sight. He'd only been deputy for a short time after Shadeclaw disappeared... and of course, he'd stolen away in secret after Midnightstar 'ran off'. Only Shadowclan knew him by face, as he often sated his bloodlust along their border. No doubt he'd find retaliation at the next Gathering, but it did not bother him now. He dipped his head to Hatchwhisker, purring greatfully. "Please tell them it's an urgent dream. If we do not trust this message... a shadow is darkening over the clans... I must go now. Thank you, Hatchwhisker." He stood and, looking around, jumped back through the same bush Hatchwhisker had been stuck in, however the large tom was graceful enough to find a more direct route through the foliage. His paws sent him, with a skip in his step, toward Riverclan. And, ironicly, as he left, a ghostly white tom came over the ridge, scenting the air for prey. His sapphire orbs spotted the young tom, Hatchwhisker, sitting down by the border. Ghostwalker glided down the hill silently, approaching his clan mate. His black tail was held high in greating and he dipped his head to the younger. "Greatings, Hatchwhisker. Finding any prey this morning?" The white tom mused that he should be friendly, even though he was not much for talking at all, Ravenscar had told him he was seen as 'uptight' among the clan because of his lack of vocalization. He did not smile however, because it had never yeilded him appealing results.

| Hatchwhisker | Windclan - Warrior - Tom - 12moons | "No problem, Duskpelt." He mewed after him as he disappeared through the gorse. He let out a sigh, now was the hard part to, tell the clan of the dream and try to get them to believe him. He jumped slightly at the tom's approach. "Oh, it's you Ghostwalker." He meowed relieved. "I lost a rabbit over here, but I was just about to head back." It had been obvious the young warrior hadn't caught anything yet, making him feel guilty that he was telling Ghostwalker he was heading back to camp already.

"We can hunt on the way back." Ghostwalker suggested, flicking his tail toward Hatchwhisker, signalling for him to follow. He padded up the ridge, and then scented the air. "So how do you like being a warrior?" Ghostwalker looked back the the tabby tom, and gave him his best 'I don't bite' expression. Though, internally he was worried. He's smelt a familiar scent on the border, but not one he could directly discern. He hoped that Hatchwhisker was not betraying his clan, or anything like that. Hopefully it had been there before the young warrior decided to rest there. "There should be some rabbits this way, I scented them earlier." Ghostwalker mewed quietly as they walked.
