Name:: Berryfur
Age:: 15 moons
Gender:: Female
Rank:: Warrior
Clan:: RiverClanPhysical Description::
Picture
Berryfur was named for her sleek, luscious black fur which is reminiscent of the gloss and colour of a blackberry. Depending on the lighting, it can appear to have either a red tinge, when she is in sunlight, or a blue tinge, when she is in water or under moonlight. Her delicate nose is also black, however her whiskers are pure white, providing a stark contrast to the rest of her coat. Her eyes are a clear, light moss green which becomes progressively darker towards her irises.
Like most RiverClan cats, Berryfur is strong and well-fed. She is of an average size but is fast, both at running and swimming. She uses this to her advantage, and tends to use speed rather then strength while fighting.
Her head is rounded, almost apple-shaped, and she has a small and somewhat pointed muzzle. Her ears are triangular and disproportionally large compared to the rest of her features. The fur on her neck is longer than the rest of her coat, giving the appearance of a ruff. The longer fur continues down her chest and over her belly. The fur makes her legs look shorter than they are, however since her legs are rather long as it is, it doesn't make a difference. Her legs are graceful, yet her paws are too large to be elegant and appear clumsy and kit-like. Once she releases her claws, which are sharp ivory spikes, her paws turn from clumsy to threatening. Likewise, her soft feathered tail also makes her appear sweet until she is riled and it bristles, at which stage it becomes large and fluffy.
Overall, Berryfur still retains the physical traits of an apprentice, but has potential to grow into a graceful and fearsome warrior.Personality::
Although Berryfur was recently made a warrior, she is still quite immature and acts like an apprentice. However this is due more to her personality rather than her age. She is playful and mischievous, and is more likely to be found pouncing on leaves than actual prey. She often stuggles to take things seriously and is often reprimanded for this fault. She tends to irritate older and more serious warriors when she can't control her amusement. Despite her playful attitude, Berryfur is highly competitive and the moment she is challenged by anybody, she will become entirely focused on proving her opponent wrong. When she loses, she tends to sulk but gets over it quickly. Because of her competitive streak, Berryfur is highly loyal to RiverClan and will go to great lengths to help them "win". In Berryfur's eyes, winning not only includes defeating other Clans in territory battles, but it also means having the most prey and the strongest warriors. When she remembers this, she will work very hard for the Clan, but once it slips from the forefront of her mind she will revert to her relaxed manner.
The way she interacts with other cats depends entirely on their age. Due to Berryfur's lack of maturity, she gets on well with kits and apprentices and prefers being with them rather than the warriors. When she isn't on duty, she can usually be found visiting the kits or fooling around with the apprentices. Around older cats, she tries to rein in her silliness and as a result can end up seeming reserved or withdrawn. The more she spends time with another warrior, she more she relaxes and allows her mischievous side to be seen. With cats from other Clans, she is automatically suspicious and ready to fight, but once tensions have subsided she'll treat them as friendly rivals.
Berryfur sometimes finds herself showing traits such as selfishness or arrogance by accident. Since this reminds her of her brother, she immediately squashes any such feelings and feels embarrassed. Her goal to show her brother than being part of a Clan is better than being on your own is her driving force and so she tries her best to show teamwork and support her Clanmates, even though naturally she finds it rather difficult.History::
Berryfur was one of the two kits in the first litter born to Shadestripe and Mapleclaw, both proud RiverClan warriors. She had an older brother named Batkit and the pair got on well. Batkit was the braver of the pair and would often lead Berryfur (Berrykit back then) on adventures. He was also self-centred, and got the Berrykit in trouble without thinking twice about it. Berrykit looked up to her brother though and accepted this as if it were normal. When the two became apprentices, both showed great potential as they inherited their father Shadestripe's speed. While Berrypaw was excited by this and did her best to live up expectations, Batpaw was arrogant and took all of his natural ability for granted. Batpaw began to look down upon the concept of Clans, as he believed having to provide for other weaker cats was dragging him down. Eventually he decided to leave RiverClan and become a loner known simply as Bat. Berrypaw was furious at what she considered an enormous betrayal and resents her brother for his decision. When she became a warrior without her brother by her side, it was a bittersweet moment and the memory reinforces her determination when she is feeling down.
