Laughingpaw Every muscle in his body was tense with excitement, his little nub of a tail betraying his eagerness by flicking back and forth energetically. He couldn't help it, today was his first training session with his new mentor and that mentor was his Clan's Leader. No cat could be more anxious than he was right now, he had so much to prove, he'd even asked one of the warriors to wake him up early so he could get a head start and show how responsible he was. Sitting calmly beside him was the Clan Deputy, Shiverwing, who'd insisted on escorting him to the Sandy Hollow and waiting with him until Duskstar and the others showed up. Laughingpaw supposed she was right to be there, he was just an apprentice and if he was caught alone, he could get in trouble or worse, something dangerous could find him. It wasn't long before they heard the padding footsteps of other cats coming toward them. Laughingpaw sniffed the air to confirm the scent of his Clanmates. "They're here!"

| Poolheart | Thunderclan - Warrior - She-cat - 23moons | Somewhat dreading this team-up for training she let out a soft sigh, but chose not to show the dread, she had to prove she was a good mentor, or who knew what was going to happen. She told her apprentice to come to the training hollow right away and walked out of camp before he could answer, and hoped he was fallowing but never bothered to look back, figuring he would make himself known. She wasn't always fond of his in your face attitude and back talk, but seeing as how he was about her size, she had to prove him wrong. Poolheart padded into the clearing, she dipped her head to Shiverwing in greeting. "I see someone's here early." She mewed seeing Laughingpaw.

Duskstar lashed his tail irritably as he left the camp, following on the heels of an overly excited apprentice. Midnightstar's son, Rowanpaw. Skree splattered down the ravine onto Duskstar from the scrambling apprentice and he snarled, leaping forward and catching the young tom in his forepaws. The apprentice yelped and tripped, skidding down the slope. Duskstar continued on. Rowanpaw scrambled back up the rise and followed at a more respectful distance and pace.
They entered the sandy hollow with an air of tension. The apprentice bounded forward, spraying up sand again, which made Duskstar his and leap out of the way. "Dammit boy if you get one more gritty substance on my pelt I'll shred your ears!" he snapped, obviously not in a good mood. His eyes drifted to the other cats in the hollow, Poolheart- Rowanpaw's mentor- was already there. He lashed his tail at her. "Control him." And then he took a seat near Laughingpaw and his escort, Shiverwing. He dipped his head to his deputy, then gazed at his apprentice, who's stumpy tail was swishing eagarly. Rowanpaw sped back across the hollow, skidding to a spot infront of Poolheart and spraying her with sand. "What are you gonna teach us?" He mewed loudly and excitely, practically bouncing.

Laughingpaw The first cat to appear was Poolheart, Rowanpaw's mentor. She greeted him, commenting on his earliness. Laughingpaw's back fur stood up slightly in embarrassment, "I just really wanna do good today," he murmured. Shiverwing reassured him with a smile, which dropped away as soon as Rowanpaw bounded into the Sandy Hollow, spraying sand everywhere, earning him an angry hiss from the large tom following after. Duskstar sat down next to Laughingpaw and Shiverwing, dipping his head to the Deputy in greeting. Shiverwing returned the gesture before promptly standing up and trotting back to camp, but not before giving Laughingpaw a reassuring nudge with her shoulder. Laughingpaw looked up at Duskstar with admiration and had just opened his mouth when Rowanpaw asked his question for him.

| Poolheart | Thunderclan - Warrior - She-cat - 23moons | She silently crouched as Duskstar and Rowanpaw came into the clearing, sensing the tension immedietly. "Yes, Duskstar." She mewed. When her apprentice slid to a halt she launched at Rowanpaw with a small battle cry, her small orange tabby frame in the air, ears pinned, teeth barred and nails sheathed. She wanted to see how her apprentice would take an attack and wanted to let him know he was out of line.

Rowanpaw yelped as his mentor launched herself at him, thrusting his paws up in an attempt to throw her off, or at least knock her off balance so he could scramble up. He wriggle and snarled at her, his bushy tail lashing. So what is he'd gotten Duskstar's pelt gritty? The dark leader needed to lighten up!
Duskstar purred with approval, touching the tip of his tail to Laughingpaw's shoulder. "Watch," he muttered, "This will be a good lesson for him." He curled his tail around his paws again. "Rowanpaw is large enough to handle Poolheart. Don't worry, we won't start out this rough." He might be insane and fox-hearted but he wouldn't injure a potential warrior to his clan. Especially not one he could bring to his side.

Laughingpaw lifted a paw back, eyes wide in horrified surprise, as Poolheart leapt at her apprentice, teeth bared in an attack. Was she insane? He knew Duskstar had told her to keep Rowanpaw in line, but the discipline he knew involved cleaning out the Elder's den or helping out the Medicine-cat. Duskstar touched the tip of his tail to Laughingpaw's shoulder and let him know it was alright and that Rowanpaw might actually learn something from this. The grey apprentice watched curious green eyes as Rowanpaw thrust his paws up to block Poolheart as she came crashing down on him. He wasn't frightened of battle, in fact he enjoyed the rush, but he knew there was supposed to be a reason behind them.

| Poolheart | Thunderclan - Warrior - She-cat - 23moons | Her blood pounding in her ears, Duskstar's purr of approval and words never reaching her apprentices surprised yelp breaking through the pounding. She kept her composer though she felt a little bad for the surprise attack. 'Maybe if he'd behave there wouldn't need to jump into the lesson like this...' She thought, quickly pushing away the thought with a flick of her ear. She was still on edge about the training session. As soon as she snapped out of her little guilt spell, she found herself crashing into Rowanpaw's paws as he thrust them in her way. As she hit his paws, some of the air was knocked out of her, and she was sent flying past Rowanpaw, only barely managing to stick her landing, almost ending up with a face full of sand. Poolheart turned toward her apprentice, still ready for battle practice, though she was panting. Her stance was wide and low to the ground with her long light ginger tail flicking. One key thing changed, there was a glint of approval as she watched her apprentice, a slight smirk crossing her lips. Her ears flicked, as she waited for Rowanpaw's offensive move or Duskstar's word letting her know it was time to move onto something else. | Bio |

Rowanpaw scrambled to his feet, glancing between his mentor and Duskstar quickly. Duskstar stood up, raising his tail. "Stop." He padded out betwen the two cat, and beckoned to Laughingpaw. "That was good, Poolheart, however next time I suggest a good tongue lashing." He gave Rowanpaw a look that gave the apprentice shivers though, and he lowered himself into a crouch. He watched his small ginger mentor warily, twitching his tail.
"Come Laughingpaw, we'll work over here. I want you to work on battle moves. Poolheart, remember to teach him, not just beat him up. And no claws." The big leader trotted over to the other side of the hollow, glancing back for Laughingpaw. Rowanpaw kept his eyes on Poolheart, thinking. Then he leapt forward, landing hard on his front paws, spinnging and kicking out with his powerful back feet, aiming for her shoulder. Please don't let me have musjudged this! He prayed desperately.
